Our oil/water interface probes HS-2 (open reel case) represent some of the most advanced technology available today for hydrocarbon product layer measurement. These devices utilize sophisticated ultrasonic sensors to help define the product layer.

The tough plastic reels protect the stainless steel tape from damage and dirt while the tape is stored on the reel. The 3/8-inch stainless steel tape with polyethylene coating is available in metric or imperial graduations (metric tapes are graduated to the nearest millimeter; imperial tapes are graduated to the nearest 1/100 of a foot). The tape is manufactured with a probe connector at one end and a circuit board connector at the other. This allows the tape or the probe to be quickly and easily replaced should either become damaged.

The faceplate has an ON/OFF membrane switch with an automatic power saving feature that will turn the unit off after three minutes of non-use. It also has a double indication light LED display that illuminates when water or hydrocarbons are detected. The loudest buzzer available was chosen for these probes to ensure that the units could be heard in the most noisy environments. Oil/water interface probes also available in lengths of 100 and 250 feet.
