The GAST products sold by AQUAMERIK have been widely tried by North American Aquaculturists. They were exposed to difficult operating conditions and proved to be superior to all other models. This makes them the preferred brand by professional aquaculturists. Oxygenation is very important in a fish farm, so users require an efficient, reliable, powerful, silent and virtually maintenance-free brand.

The fundamental difference between blowers and Compressors is the pressure at which they can compress the air. All the air compressors used in aquaculture must be “oil-free”. Your second consideration is the amount of air required to accomplish the job. If your need for air is minimal, for example, you can use a continuous compressor and another for emergencies. Then determine the required pressure. To form bubbles you must have enough pressure to defeat the gravity of the water at the depth of the diffuser, the resistance caused by the friction of the piping and the resistance of the diffuser at a known flow.

Example: With a water depth of 36″, a piping system with little restriction, i.e. 4″ H20 and a diffuser with low air resistance, or 10″ H20. You will need an air pressure of at least 50″ H20 (± 2 psi).

The blowers are very popular in the aquaculture industry because they are Economic , very reliable and offer a very interesting airflow. By using low pressure blowers, it is important that the air tubing is properly dimensioned to minimize the restriction and thus result in a loss of flow. If you need to go deep underwater or use a high-strength diffuser, it is important to select a blower that provides enough pressure or look for our Compressors “rotating lobes”.

WATCH OUT FOR IMITATIONS

Equipment suppliers will try to attract you with free accessories while associating their quality with that of GAST when it is actually a copy of poorer quality or products that have been downgraded compared to GAST production requirements. Let yourself be attracted by quality, choose GAST. The engines used by GAST are also very superior. They all have automatic thermal protection. A very important aspect for the farmer! The closed motor allows use in high humidity conditions of fish farms. They are UL approved and CSA certified.
