Barley straw is a natural, effective treatment to help clarify water, but many people dislike the look of bundles or bags of straw in their pond. Barley straw pellets not only look better, they work faster, are easier to use and leave less mess to clean up. Note that fish will not eat the barley pellets, as they have no food value.
