Roots air boosters are conceived for a quiet and economic operation. These products supply an ideal air pressure (0-15 psig) or vacuum (0-16 Hg) for a wide range of applications. Roots air boosters are dimensionally interchangeable with some different models in the same competition. In order to answer all demands coming from our customers, Aquamerik offers complete models which include an air inlet filter silencer, rigid one-piece cast iron casing, anti-friction bearings, drive motor and a detachable steel mounting support to maximize the efficiency and reduce the occupied space and cost of installation. Operating principle:

Two figure-eight lobe impellers mounted on parallel shafts rotate in opposite directions. As each impeller passes the blower inlet, it traps a finite volume of air and carries it around the case to the blower outlet, where the air is discharged. With constant speed operation, the displaced volume is essentially the same regardless of pressure, temperature or barometric pressure. Timing gears control the relative position of the impellers to each other and maintain small but defined clearances.
